What are you expecting? Our offense hinges on an improved run game (which this team showed once Hackett took over) and Bortles fixing his mechanics. That isn't getting fixed in FA.

I was referring to signing Campbell,drafting Adams and trading up to get McCaffrey! We all know improving the line will help the offense but doing the other things I mention, I don't believe will..

And I agree Colvin is the most overrated player on this team.

I don't think Colvin is overrated at all.  Most people think he's a solid backup player, not a star player.

Every time one of the 'why does Dave still have a job' type of threads is created his defenders put Colvin in the hit category. I get that it's tough to find hits to defend Dave with so you might have to grasp at straws like Colvin, but it's a stretch.

Tough to find hits?!?

 

Unless we are somehow defining "hits" differently, using the term in its typical meaning, it's not hard to find them for Caldwell at all.

 

2014 produced Robinson, Linder, Telvin Smith, and Hurns as an UDFA as bonafide hits, with Bortles and Lee still unknown/pending.  Colcin and Bowanko are decent reserves, which is about what you'd expect from 4th and 6th round picks.

 

2015 Fowler, Cann and Greene are still pending.

 

Last year produced Ngakoue and Ramsey, with Jack pending.

 

2013 is definitively a wasted year, but it is fact averse to suggest that hits are hard to find for Caldwell overall.
