Quote:Texans pay browns a 2nd rounder for them to take Osweiler away. Ridiculous.
With Osweiler's contract moving to Cleveland that might cost us our shot at Bouye.

Quote:The hell. Schefter reports browns trading for osweiler.

Stunner: Texans trade Brock Osweiler AND 2018 2nd-rd pick to CLEV for Browns to take Osweiler contract off Houston books, sources tell ESPN.
Hate to admit it but the Texans just absolutely fleeced the browns. Pulling a rabbit out of their hat to get rid of that ridiculous contract.

I'm guessing we see Romo to the Texans imminently now.

Garrett #1 overall guaranteed now.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

As @AdamSchefter said, Texans have dealt QB Brock Osweiler -- They're basically giving the Browns a 2018 2nd-rounder to assume the contract.

Could very well be. tinhorns have 17 minutes before other teams can sign Bouye.

That has more to do with Romo and dumping Brock then Bouye, he is likely gone

No that gives them room for Romo's contract which is larger.

No they didnt. The browns get an extra second round pick to inherit his contract but they have so much money they wont even feel it. They cut him next year with little to no dead money. The texans basically said "well give you a second rounder to hold this guy". Its a win for the browns entirely.

The Browns essentially bought a 2nd round pick.
Shock the world

That's a good trade by the Browns. Its like an NBA expiring contract trade basically. They get a 2nd round pick for freeing up cap space. Can cut him next year easily

They get a 2nd rounder for taking on that contract though. 2nd round picks are valuable.

It's a waste of money, roster spot, and development of an actual QB.
