Quote:Raiders and Titans seems to have turned it around rather quickly.....

The difference was that those franchises had a plan, culture, and coaching. Unfortunately for us our plan for building a team was flawed and having a coach who did not demand accountability from his players and was hiring his friends as coordinators instead of the best people for the job. I honestly felt like Bradley was just happy to be a head coach instead of trying to be the best coach he can be for this organization. In other words, the inmates ran the Asylum and to anyone who disagrees with me the results on the field spoke for themselves.

Quote:This is such ridiculous 'logic'.

You don't put a 4th year quarterback behind someone to 'learn from him'. Good God. You play him or move on.

That's what I've been trying to say the whole time.

It's ok. Bortles will redeem himself with an off-season of mechanics work and proper coaching. I'm pretty confident in that.

Plus no one will be able to throw on us anyway lol

For the #Chargers and OT Russell Okung, it’s a 4 year deal worth $53M, source said. $13.25M guaranteed.

@DailyNewsVinny

Los Angeles cornering the market on LT's. Can confirm #Chargers & Russell Okung agreed to to terms a 4-year deal with $25m guaranteed

Vincent Bonsignore‏ said that his info was a typo mistake. The $ 13.25 million is correct.

I'm sorry, but you haven't. You seem to take personal offense whenever someone says something about Bortles. And you make excuses for him playing so poorly last year. He was awful and it was extremely disappointing. And don't give me some crap about being some troll and not supporting the team. I'll guarantee you I've put more blood, sweat tears, and money into this organization than you have. I really hope he can turn it around, but last year really does not give me a lot of confidence.

I could see us make the playoffs in spite of Blake. Not in the game managing Dalton-like fashion, but in the crazy ups and downs roller coaster Rex Grossman Bears fashion.

I make it personal because I feel like y'all make it personal by attacking him. We all get it Blake had a bad year but to revisit his regression last year with personal and mean comments make a person like me go on the offensive because of it. Until y'all can look yourselves in the mirror and admit your faults about the negativity that's been brought on this message forum please don't judge me for my actions because of it. I truly apologize to you and others for my personal attacks but I'm going to defend my QB right for a opportunity to lead this team until he removes all doubt and this franchise moves on from him.

Just got a text from Calais Campbell: "Chose #Jags because Tom Coughlin is a winner, they brought in two other big free agents and they also have been drafting well the last few years. They are a young and hungry defense that I want to lead."

Damn near brings a tear to my eye.

It's exactly true.

Dude isn't going to have crap mechanics, lead the league in turnovers, and not naturally throw the football (whatever the hell that means...his words) for 3 years and then step in and be a franchise QB in year 4. It just isn't gonna happen imo. Holding out hope for him to do so is such a waste of all the money we're paying these free agents.

Alas, we'll watch him start and do moderately better, but people holding out hope for Blake are the same ones who held out hope for Gabbert. I sailed in that boat once, and it's not happening again. Blake Bortles is, was, and will likely be a bad starting NFL QB, given the chance.

If we draft Fournette or Cook and play good defense it won't matter who is QB to be honest.

Sure, but it'd be nice to have a guy who can toss up a semi-accurate spiral with his dominant hand every once in a while. You know, there's only 32 starting NFL QBs in the WORLD. Youd think that crap would be a requirement, but nooo. Not in Jax. Heck with that. Well ride it out and hope it changes, or we'll wash, rinse, and repeat with another 21 year old starter who has no business being there behind our putrid oline yet.

Ugh. Been a rough decade to be a Jag.
