Joe Mixon is a clone of David Johnson

Quote:A clone, without the decent human being part attached. People who get caught doing what he did should be sterilized and locked away. Not given millions of dollars and a career for the ages.To be fair, it wasn't domestic violence. Assault yes, but not DV Which is important because the NFL can still say they are tough on DV while a team drafts Mixon. However dumb that sounds.
How about let's not compare Greg Hardy to Mixon. Hardy's a 6'5 280 pound behemoth who beat his tiny girlfriend to a pulp, threw her on a bed of guns and told her he was going to kill her several times. Wasn't the first incident I'm sure either.

While I don't condone hitting a woman ever, but if you could hear her calling him a [BLEEP] N word repeatedly and spitting in his face instead of just a silent video of a light contact before the punch I think perception would be quite a bit different We show less advertisements to registered users. I also would love to hear what they think Mixon's punishment should be. Jail for 10 years? Should he never be able to get a nice job? I'm seriously asking. The fact that he may make millions is irrelevant. if yes, why don't you want him in the NFL? Because it's too much money? How much money is too much?

I remember hearing about that but never thought it was actually confirmed. If true , it changes a ton about the situation and explains his "0-60" escalation of the situation. So there was zero spitting or racial slurs from the lady involved. It was all made up to try to cover for Mixon Pearl Harboring a woman. http://www.espn.com/college-football/sto...n-reaction
From an earlier post in this thread, it sounds like Mixon is A) unrepentant and B) still acting like a scumbag.

Quote:He is unrepentant about what happened and continues to get into altercations, this last time with law enforcement. No one is making excuses, no one is condoning what he did, the point is the incident was 3 years ago and by all accounts he's been a great kid since then, again, is it impossible for people to change? I've never struck a woman but I did have big time anger issues as a teenager and was subsequently punished (sent to juvenile detention) because of it, that experience completely changed my life for the better. To sit here and act like people can't change and say "every young man that hits a woman will turn into Greg Hardy" is incredibly narrow minded, ignorant, and flat out false. We love to judge these days, but get pissed off when people judge our transgressions. Here's a life tip, until you've walked a mile in the shoes of others don't judge, all we can do is give love and understanding to those who have made mistakes (which is all of us) as it helps them overcome their own issues. There's nothing more pompous than people who pretend they've never done anything wrong. Quote:Mixon admitted that the girl said nothing but thought the guy at her table did. Could u have got into oncoming traffic and made mistakes? but Oh no your sorry? I compare DUI to what the kid did. He doesn't have a habit. I seen plenty peoople derailed by DUIs ..... I think he can make it past this and be a productive player... Hell, if he was drunk when he did it we could at least say he had impaired judgement. Not that it would make the situation that much better but still. Any man knows from the time he is a child to never strike a woman. He can go be productive in Cleveland. Mixon hasn't been a great kid since this happened. Someone already posted his other legal troubles and lack of remorse since the assault. He's throwing parking tickets in the face of meter maids and threatening them with his car. I never said that everyone who hits a woman turns into Greg Hardy. The point that I have been making is that we have seen that when you millions of dollars and the spotlight, it is going to magnify everything that you are. He hasn't said or done anything that leads me to believe he has changed other than people on this board wanting a redemption story so badly that you are just giving it to him by default. He has not earned the redemption that you are giving him. Some people change after doing terrible things, not all people change, and the first step to that is even admitting you have done something wrong and he won't even do that. Wasn't the first incident I'm sure either.Mixon's victims injuries were more significant than Hardy's. Hardy threw her in a tub and on a bed of guns, she was badly bruised on her back and face. Mixon broke her face in 5 places, broke her nose, broker her jaw, broke her sinuses. She had 8 Hours of surgery after what Mixon did to her. Both players are huge compared to the women they hit, Hardy being a D-lineman does not make it any worse. Look at the injuries, Mixon did more damage by a mile.
Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.
Quote:I wonder if people would feel different if there was audio and earlier video too, when it was alleged and I think even proven that she repeatedly called him racial slanders and spitting in his face. As has already been said....she didn't but even if she did it doesn't change anything. Just because someone says something you don't like/agree with it doesn't give you the right to assault/battery them. Well judge you see...he called me a nasty name...so go easy or drop my charges for murdering him....
Quote:Another "holier then thou I've never made a mistake" member of today's society. People sure do love to pass judgement these days, with absolutely no room for compassion or forgiveness. I'm always willing to give people (who have earned it) the benefit of the doubt and a second chance, have you never been given a second chance? By all accounts hes been a great kid off the field since the incident, are we supposed to punish him for life? Get off No one is calling for him to be put in prison for life but it isn't unreasonable to not want someone with his history in your workplace. I'd be willing to go along with the whole 2nd chance narrative if he actually grew a pair and took responsibility for his actions...which he hasn't. Having teammates act like they are being punched by him during celebrations and being completely unrepentant about the whole situation tell just as much about him as the actual punching of a woman. Also calling someone who doesn't agree with your viewpoint on the issue worse than Mixon says a ton about you as well... We show less advertisements to registered users. Mixon saw red and lashed out on a stranger, doing awful damage but by all accounts is a good guy. Greg Hardy beat the [BLEEP] out of his girlfriend ( and has beat others too) , told her he'd break her arms , threw her on top of guns, choked her and told her he was going to kill her. I don't think Mixon is as bad as a guy as Hardy is
Yeah, Mixon isn't close to the scumbag Hardy is (based on what we know). Tyreek Hill is another one that did much worse than Mixon, but no one cares anymore.
