is norwell G (panthers) better than any projected 2nd rounders?   PFF has him rated right under lang graded as 85.7 third best.  Above warford.  Still in prime at 25 too.   RFA (2nd round tender)

Quote:I would keep an eye on Larry Donnell if we don't sign Bennett. Depending on how Coughlin liked him while in NY.

Donnell is the worst TE I've ever had the displeasure of watching. Most of my friends are Giants fans and they all hate him. He's horribad

It's iffy, he's a good player but I rather use the pick

I think maybe it has more to do with a premium position being available at 36

Anything can happen on draft day, maybe you really like one of the QB's or theres a CB or S or DL you have a high grade on. That's more my thinking on it.

The reality with Chruch and Campbell (more so Campbell) Is he could pop a disc in a work out and it nags all season and you never see him. Tall guys don't last as long as Campbell does, look how fast John Henderson lost it with a similar body frame. You still need to be using these picks on the same positions you are filling with FA's.

Good decision by the Jaguars moving on.

Fun fact, Albert is a year older than my brother and 4 years older than me. Grew up in my hometown and failed 9th grade twice at East High which is like 10 min down the road from my friend's house.

Caldwell also said that we were in the process of trying to close a couple of more deals and we're open to more than that if it improves the roster.

Devin Taylor is still out there, and likely can be acquired for minimal dollars.  A 6'7 275 DE only 27 that can be a depth/rotation guy for Calais at base end.  He was a starter with Detroit last year with mediocre production.  Woodard supposedly has potential, but I don't trust guys with no pro experience coming back from a torn achilles.
