Jags need to sign Cutler, he's an upgrade over bortles

Its true. Hes bortles without the messed up throwing motion. Hes younger and more durable than romo. Jags should bring in cutler for competition.

Quote:Why is Quinn looking to trade Tomlinson? And I wonder if the Jags would be interested?

Laken Tomlinson got benched last October, with then rookie Graham Glasgow becoming the Lions primary LG until C Travis Swanson suffered a concussion that kept him out of the last 4 regular season games and the playoff game at Seattle.  Tomlinson then was inserted back into the starting lineup at LG the rest of the season.

Tomlinson was very inconsistent in 2016,  after a shaky rookie season.  His best game was probably against the Rams in mid October,  when he filled in at RG for the injured Larry Warford.   Tomlinson looked more comfortable at RG.  With T.J. Lang now the starting RG barring the injury factor and both Glasgow and 2016 5th Round pick Joe Dahl contenders for the LG spot,  I think the Lions are better off trading Tomlinson if a team is willing to give the equivalent of a 4th Round pick.

If the Jaguars would be comfortable with A.J. Cann moving to LG,  it's possible the Jaguars would have interest in Tomlinson.   But with the addition of Earl Watford,  another team could easily be willing to give the Lions more for Tomlinson than the Jaguars would.

I'm not sure how much Chris Ivory has left in the tank but at his peak he's the type of RB the Lions need to compliment Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick.

DT Dontari Poe is expected to visit the @Jaguars Monday, in addition to RB Latavius Murray. #Jags doing work in FA!

Poe is actually arriving as we speak. Actually I think she means as of right now he is scheduled to arrive at some point tonight. Wonkily worded...

Loved Miller. But Poe fits the bill more than Miller these days. Love it. Hope he stays.

He's still very good but has had a bad back and Chiefs have him play an insane amount of snaps for a 340 pound guy.

would be another nice addition to the DL. He's only 26, will be 27 by the time the season starts.

Cutler may have a better arm but he's a baby no one wants to play with. A diva who doesn't have half the toughness Blake has.

Also... remember when you said our secondary would be terrible? So forgive me if I don't care what you have to say.

So you're saying he's a perfect fit for our personnel?

He's been trending down for a few years now. This is PFF's FA blurb about him in their boom/bust FA article.

Yeah if you can limit his snaps a DT group of Abry, Malik , Poe and Day with Calais being able to sub in is pretty hardcore. Easily the best in the division.

To be fair, a DT group of just Malik, Calais, and Abry is easily the best in the division haha.

Poe would be a great addition.  We're not going to ask him to be an every snap guy.  He'll be a rotational guy.  I don't know how you can complain with bring Poe in as a rotational guy.  It'll be a one year deal, probably for a decent amount of money, but it'll be off the books after 1 year.  I don't think he'd be here long term, but more as a short term fix.  It'll give Day and Bennett, who will also be rotational guys, another year to grow.

Poe is looking for a 1 year deal right, so we could maybe give him a big money one year deal and undercut the Colts
