Quote:Poe is looking for a 1 year deal right, so we could maybe give him a big money one year deal and undercut the Colts
The Colts have more cap room than us now, so if we are still offering a bigger 1 year deal than the team that needs him far more and whose GM is more familiar with him than anyone else that could be a pretty big red flag as others have pointed out.

A waste of cap space imo.

If he returns to his 2014 form then it's a homerun, he's a guy who could potentially replace Calais (long term) down the line. It's a smart move by the Jags with little downside given their financial flexibility. This is of course assuming it's a 1 year "prove it" type of deal.

Yet you want to sign Romo who will never last the season.

I think signing Poe would be ideal. Depth, rotational, and a run stuffer. That is what we need now since Miller and Marks are gone. I believe the intention is to land Poe with the release of Miller. I would like to think the Jags go aggressive on signing Poe.

Yannick/Fowler, Malik, Poe Cambell

or

(passing downs) Yannick, Malik, Poe/Cambell, Folwer

You do not know this. Romo is 10 better than Bortles.

He couldn't get past the preseason behind the best line in the league. He will be ded by second snap of the preseason here.

Stop it. We would win the division by at least 2 games if we had him.

You're completely ignoring the fact that he is brittle as your grandma. No one here is arguing that he isn't better than Bortles. Our point here is that Bortles would be starting by week 2 even if we did bring him in because he's not going to last a full game behind this OL.

So we are back to the same situation as we were before. Signing romo can't hurt us except for the fact we would lose a little bit of money

No we're not. Bklyn is acting like Romo is going to be the savior of this franchise. No one is arguing over the semantics of whether or not signing him is worth it.

Indy can't feel good that Poe left without signing a deal....  Jags have a shot.

A former two time pro bowler and 2nd team All Pro who will only be 27 when the season starts? I'll take him on a one year deal.

Which is exactly what we was [BLEEP] about when I replied to him...a waste of cap space.

well i'll tell you what... he's definitely an upgrade over Roy Miller who is coming off an achilles repair.  Roy was a great NT but Poe is younger and healthier.  Unfortunately for Roy, it seems as Dontari would be able to do a better job this year.
