I wouldn't be upset if they let go of Ivory.  He showed no signs of quickness or generating any sort of push.  He was supposed to be a good receiver out of the backfield and that has looked average at best.

With our o-line of last year, I am surprised they survived uninjured for as long as they did.

Yeldon is awful. He might be the slowest running back in the NFL.

He had 130 carries last year, and his longest run was 16 yards.

Yeldon would have had 1,000 yards rushing his rookie year running behind guys like Beadles, Joeckel and Wiz if he hadn't of gotten injured. Don't think he's dynamic enough to be a starter but think he can still be an effective running back.

After Latavius tore his ACL in 2009, he asked for his release from UCF to come home to play for Syracuse. But SU coaches did not offer him a scholarship then and he returned to UCF. (Doug Marrone was SU's head coach then; he and UCF coach George O'Leary had long been friends and colleagues.)


Latavius initially chose a program that guaranteed he would run the ball. He wanted to be a college running back. I know all of this because my friend wrote a multi-part series about Latavius and his high school recruitment at the time.
