Quote:I'm not. Age and asking price made the decision an easy one.True. As of now, he is without a team and I'm wondering if he has received any offer at this point - especially with the draft looming around the corner. He, along with other big-named FA RB's, might end up being cheap pick-ups after the draft has settled and teams are well into their OTA's and TC.
Apparently Jamaal Charles is supposed to be in Seattle tomorrow.... Interesting

Quote:Eddie Lacy to SeattleGood signing for them. If he stays healthy they could end up with a really good running game again. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
@AdamSchefter
Eddie Lacy's deal in Seattle: 1 year, $5.55M with $3M fully guaranteed, per source.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
@RapSheet
#Packers are bringing back CB Davon House, as @TomSilverstein said. House gets 1-yr, roughly $3.5M, source said (while visiting Pitt today).

Quote:Eddie Lacy to Seattle He must've been the cheapest option. Of the guys they brought in, he's the most.......... meh!

I'm guessing he's so high on Cyp because Walter is really more of a college guy and Cyp was a very highly rated SS in his draft class. As for AJ, it's telling that the team gave him such a low first year cap hit. While he's averaging nearly the same as Campbell, you can tell they already trust Campbell because his first year cap hit is right up there at $10.5 mil. That is to say, they're willing to starting paying for him now. ...but with AJ, his cap hit this year is a mere $5.5 mil. Now it goes WAY up next year, but if he doesn't perform this year the Jaguars can cut him and get away without taking too great a hit.

Quote:Albert Breer @AlbertBreer This is interesting because I was just listening to a Vikings fan rant about his team is getting rid of all their players and signing nobody to replace them. With this, I take it they're simply going in an entirely new direction starting with beefing up their OL. Adding to this, when I was the Vikings GM in our board's first mock draft (we're due for a 2.0 draft btw), I noticed their thought at the time was to go all out to upgrade their OL. Their first pick is in round two, but it seemed they absolutely had to go OT with the pick. Well, this is no longer the case. By taking care of their OL in free agency, they can now go virtually any direction in round two. Maybe they'll go RB and get Mixon.

Quote:This is so incredibly lame. I'm guessing he's so high on Cyp because Walter is really more of a college guy and Cyp was a very highly rated SS in his draft class. Bouye's dead cap is $26mil this year and $21mil next year. It then drops to $6mil in 2019. He's virtually uncuttable until 2019.

Quote: Mangold and Lang would be interesting as a stop gap this season, but they'd have to check out medically. With Lang he may simply be too injured. Long and Poe would be great signs. Ware??? With Campbell signed and Yannick about to be one of the league's breakout pass rusher, ...Ware is totally unwarranted, I'm surprised the ancient 4-3 RDE isn't retiring.

Ware just announced his retirement like 2 days ago
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
Quote:I was referring specifically to the DL as far as a 3-4 front. Not on the roster? Poz? Telvin? Pullard? We also have this rookie on the roster named Raphael Kirby who is interestingly listed as an "ILB." ...and another young LB Marcus Rush who is rather big at 6-3, 251. Btw, Skuta can actually rush the passer as a 3-4 OLB if given a chance. ...so can Jonathan Woodard and Lerentee McCray. I don't really support moving to a 3-4, but I like having the option. I miss the days when JDR was around as the defense would often switch up to a 3-4 (or his 3-3-5 that one season) for a series here or there. Speaking of JDR... Imagine how good he would be as a DC if he had all this talent. He'd have loved Yannick, Jack and Ramsey.
