Quote: Ok, so lemme get this straight. Any time an opinion changes/ evolves (even 5 months later) when more info presents itself it is called a flip flop, even if when what was wrote before was accurate at that time.....wait, a second.....lemme write this down....so I know.... <scribbles on note pad> Good to know for future reference.
I posted it in the right thread now. But yes, because his demeanor is still the same and his playing style is still the same. His playing style 3 months ago was set up for failure in the NFL and now you want him #3 overall? Were you wrong about his play style before or has the NFL changed in 3 months?
Quote:The broadcasters acted like the Texans taking Clowney was a foregone conclusion. They must spend a lot of time posting on message boards.

Since that time he's played big in some big games. Its not so much a fluke anymore. He plays reckless which I didn't think would be able to sustain any success as time went on - but for season #2 it has and he's making even more big plays the same way. Big plays in big games. But thats okay. Everything your saying I am going to strictly hold against you for any future opinion you have (and change) so flail away. Have at it. Lol as if Manziel didn't play in big games before you said that. He had a handful of big games last year and was coming off a 464 yards passing, 5 passing touchdowns, 98 yards rushing performance against Alabama.
You are The Flip-Flop Dog. TFFD.

Did he drop 500 on Alabama last year clown???? No. I didn't think it could sustain. After 2 years playing the same way and getting results , culminating with the imrpobable comeback win yesterday in the bowl game, he's won me over. You better not ever change an opinion again, pal. Oh, and hailtoyourvictor, to remain consistent, I hope you are also calling everyone else who changed their opinions on Manziel "floppers" too....or else.....I might reckon you are merely pushing agenda.....nah....

Quote:Sure they do. All of them.......right. The ones that don't do not make "I'm right, look at me!" threads (see: http://jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/top...n-stud-wr/) so they don't need to be reminded when they are wrong.

That works 2 ways....The others that flop/ get things wrong also don't get that pointed out 24/ 7 like I do...thats why threads like that Blackmon one come about.
Stop busting TMD's chops, guys.
It's actually noble to change your opinion. If you go your whole life not changing your opinion on things, you probably haven't learned anything or evolved as a person. I was in a similar situation with Manziel. I thought he was exciting, but just a college QB... then I thought "he's kind of like Tebow, just smaller, but actually able to throw also".... Then the more I thought about it, the more that actually sounded not too bad at all. If Tebow had Manziel's ability to throw, he'd be a franchise QB somewhere right now. So that left me with only one concern, and that was his size. Afraid he wouldn't be able to sustain his play against NFL defenses. But you know what? It's not like he's Doug Freakin Flutie walking around... I kept going to all his negatives, but when he played, the kid was lights out, against the best opposition available in college football. Color me impressed. I know he'll throw picks, he'll fumble, heck he even might get hurt... but I know for a fact he will put up a lot of points when he's playing in the NFL. We'll see how his interviews, his pro day, and his official measurables come in.... If they go well, and he actually measures taller than 6' like some people believe he will, I would be all for getting him. Sitting at pick #3, I would be very happy with either Teddy, Clowney, or Johnny Football. I would be most excited about Mr. Manziel. He would literally light up the entire city of Jacksonville and the entire league, and for the right reasons I might add. Not because he's a local cult-hero that can't throw worth a damn that Tebow was. Johnny is legit. I applaud TMD for changing his opinion as new evidence is displayed. And you know what? If Johnny measures in at 5'10" and 195lbs and doesn't run very well and even has another off-field incident, then yes, we reserve the right to change our opinion AGAIN and say he's not worth the #3 pick overall.
