Heck, I'd rather have EJ Manuel than Henne.

Quote:Revis was one of the best corners in the league during his stint with NE lol

Ok. I stand corrected. I thought he was just ok and evidentally, so did the pats. They let him go to a division rival. Maybe he was just a product of the system.

Quote:Hankins wants 8+ and a multi year deal.

From what I'm reading, Johnathan Hankins wants a multi-year deal averaging $10 mil per, but the Giants don't have the cap space and are hoping to bring him back on the cheap. The Jaguars can certainly still snag him if they want to pay up for him.

Is Jamaal Charles in play?

Jamaal Charles doesn’t sign with Seahawks, and another team may emerge
Posted by Mike Florio on March 16, 2017, 8:02 PM EDT
The Seahawks’ vision of a veteran version of a Thunder and Lightning backfield has temporarily been put on hold.

Running back Jamaal Charles had a good visit in Seattle, as a source with knowledge of the situation explained it to PFT. However, Charles will not be signing there, for now. Earlier this week, the Seahawks signed former Packers tailback Eddie Lacy.

Charles also may be visiting another team next week. For now, the identity of that franchise isn’t known.

Early speculation following Kansas City’s decision to release Charles centered on the Eagles and the Colts.

The question is, what is Tom Coughlin's opinion of Johnathan Hankins? Coughlin watched him closely for 3 years. Being that Hankins wasn't a player the salary cap rich Jaguars pursued in the first week plus of the FA period, there's at least some doubt on this end that the Jaguars will make him a priority moving forward.

Especially for that dollar amount. That's first wave FA money.

Agreed.

From this point forward, it's hard to imagine any team signing Johnathan Hankins to what he's looking for. A short term contract could easily be the route he decides to go, hoping to increase his value in 2018 or 2019.

It has nothing to do with the system. Stop labeling everything in a patriots uniform as a system player. Revis is one of the best to ever play. They didnt want to pay him what he wanted so he left.

You should ask TTR if you can borrow some of his periods.

I have no idea what the point of this post is. That revis got old? Yeah thanks for the breaking news.

And "here one second, gone the next" is grossly inaccurate given both Revis and Ty Law had decade long careers.

Raiders are going to wind up getting marshawn out of retirement. That'll be an enormous stop gap for a year or two.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

The Lions signed UFA DT Jordan Hill today. Any thoughts from his pretty brief time with the Jaguars late last season?

To be honest I don't remember a thing about him.

I remember Jordan Hill with the Seahawks but only have minimal recall that he was with the Jaguars.

In essence the Jaguars acquired Stefan Charles for Jordan Hill.

With Le'Veon Bell's injury history, depth at RB in Pittsburgh is that much more important.

His versatility is something that the Patriots likely are factoring in heavily.
