Griff Mock Draft 2.0
|
A lot has chances since we could all take Jamal Adams at 4 and be happy or Allen before it issues rose. So here after FA and our needs depleted it seems our value and needs don't really match up well. However the way Coughlin runs his game and how FA shaped out it seems we could be going RB at 4.
1. Leonard Fournette RB Coughlin type running back with speed and power as the main ingredients. Fournette while big has some quickness to him and should get better at blocking and catching in the NFL. Takes a load off of Bortles shoulders. 2. Cam Robinson OG/OT Thought to be a top 10 pick a year ago due to off the field issues and his non elite status at LT he is now considered a guard and a right tackle. I think he has the ability to learn, play guard now and in future maybe slides to RT. Mauler in run game and super powerful should help Fournette move the rock. Coughlin looks past off field issues. 3. Carl Lawson Edge Widely underperformed and was injury prone he finally stayed healthy in 2016. As a rotational piece he could sit and learn and in a few years take over and be a nice starter. Has a chance to get healthy with rotation. 4. Gerald Everett TE New target for Bortles who drops with the upcoming prospects like Shaheen and Engram falls to 4. Small school big prospect adds to youth in TE group and can learn to block. 5. Josh Jones S Big fast Safety who lacks polish but while mentoring under Gip and Church could be a solid piece in future. 6. Eddie Vanderdoes DT Adds to loss of our DTs in Fa and nice depth. 7. Freddie Stevenson FB With him and Fournette running the IForm I feel good about our goal line package and ability to get short yardage downs. We show less advertisements to registered users. Assuming Garrett/Thomas are gone in the top 3.
1.) OJ Howard - TE - Alabama Get the Elite Athlete at a position that can help Bortles...or the new QB next year. 2.)Cam Robinson - OG - Alabama//Dan Feeney - OG - Indiana Get the OG to hopefully complete the interior of the OL. 3.)Joe Mixon - RB - Oklahoma Piece of crap human being but talent and value eventually make it worth the gamble. 4.) Nico Siragusa - OG - San Diego State//Ethan Pocic - OG - LSU Continue to build the OL 5.) Davon Godchaux - DT - LSU//Carlos Watkins - DT - Clemson// Eddie Vanderdoes - DT - UCLA First defensive pick of the draft gets another body into the DT rotation. 6.)Isiah McKenzie - PR/KR - Georgia Tiny package but explosive athlete...hopefully gives special teams a needed boost. 7.) Chad Kelly - QB - Ole Miss Talented Headcase...at this point in the draft secure him instead of hoping for UDFA signing. 7.) Best available Athlete Basically this draft gives Bortles every opportunity to shine...if he doesn't the Offense should be ready made for a Rookie 1st round QB next year. Quote:Assuming Garrett/Thomas are gone in the top 3.I think to make this realistic you're gonna have to take Cam out completely and move Mixon and Siragusa up a round. That said, a first 2 days of Howard, Mixon, and Siragusa would be great.

Quote:Assuming Garrett/Thomas are gone in the top 3. I like this mock the best so far. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Quote:No. Chad Kelly is awful.Based on his: 1st season 65% Completion//31 TD//13 Int//4042 yard with 500 yards/10 TD on the ground or 2nd Season ended early by torn ACL 62% Completion//19 TD//8 Int//2758 yard season with 332 yards/5 TD on the ground If you want to say he is a headcase...sure but to say he is awful is stupid. |
