Compilation of all of Fournette's runs out of the shotgun

Quote:How many top 5 safties have there been in the last 15 years? If they're not creating turnovers in college what makes you think that they will in the nfl? He's a quality starter sure but we're looking for impact players in the top 5. If you want a quality starter might as well take a lineman instead, it's a much more pressing need than safety. If you think his ceiling is quality starter you havent watched him. Hes really really good. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
and im not arguing for taking jamal either, we dont need a strong safety after signing barry
Quote:If you think his ceiling is quality starter you havent watched him. Hes really really good. Nah I mean that's his floor. I like him a lot. I guess I'm starting to realize that after Garrett and Solomon there's a pretty decent drop off in value to the 3rd guy.
Quote: They are two completely different players, who will have completely different roles on the teams they go to. It's almost pointless to compare them. It's apples and oranges. Quote:They are two completely different players, who will have completely different roles on the teams they go to. It's almost pointless to compare them. It's apples and oranges. So 67% of the time, fournette faced 8 men or more in the box and still created almost 5.5 yards per attempt but KY still pretends like fournette needs a "runway" even though he posts his own evidence of disapproval. Hilarious.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Quote:Did I miss one of them being moved to defense or something? Oh wait, I do remember a scout saying Fournette looked more like a left tackle than a running back at the combine. Maybe you're on to something. Anyone with half a brain would know what I was talking about. If you want a guy to run between the tackles and run people over, you take Fournette. If you want to throw the ball to your running back, you take McCaffrey. Which one you want depends on what you want to do with your running back. I think New England would prefer McCaffrey over Fournette, because of their offensive system. I don't know who the Jaguars would prefer, because I don't know what kind of system they will be running. I get the feeling they want a between the tackles power back to run over people, so I get the feeling they will prefer Fournette. They are two completely different backs who do completely different things, and which one a team prefers would depend on what kind of offensive system they are going to run. Fournette is the kind of back who will get 20 to 25 carries per game. A sledgehammer. McCaffrey would best be used getting 12 carries, 10 catches, and various punt and kickoff returns. That's why I am saying, when people compare McCaffrey and Fournette, arguing over which one is "better" it's apples and oranges. Quote:How many top 5 safties have there been in the last 15 years? Quite frankly Adams would be a fine pick at #4 but we just don't have a need there anymore.

So because McCaffrey catches the ball well out of the backfield, you only take him if you intend to pass to the RBs a lot? Would you say the same about LaDanian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk?

Comparing two running backs is apples to apples despite the style they play. I think McCaffrey is better at being a running back than Fournette in many ways, Fournette has more power and is fairly similar top speed wise, maybe a bit faster than McCaff
He didnt even get that much on his own team. Fournettte has bust written all over him.
Unfortunately people dont have common sense. He wasnt the best on his team. Did not have the most yardage. Didnt play in bowl game cause was scared would drop his draft rank. Used his own coach for a scape goat. Has had quite a few injuries. The dude is nothing special. He cant run through the tackles. Cant catch in the backfield. And really isnt that good. Outside of shotgun hes useless. Size and speed helped ap how after first few years? Dude been injured forever now. And fournette is not even close. The best back is hands down cook then mccafery. But yet hes a big man with no records. So he must be the best. Yall so used to losing. It is clouding your brain. Let this sink in for a second. COOK is the best ever rb in Florida State History. Mccafery took out the Legend Barry Sanders Records. Fournette did none of the above just the big man on campus. Reminds me of the girl who needs the big man for security and protection. Absolutely pathetic.

This board is going to be in civil war come April 27th...
People are basically saying that if a RB isn't the second coming of Bo Jackson, we shouldn't be taking them at 4. If a S isn't Sean Taylor (RIP) we shouldn't be taking him. At the end of the day, we're going to be taking an imperfect player at 4, barring a trade which is unlikely.
Quote:So because McCaffrey catches the ball well out of the backfield, you only take him if you intend to pass to the RBs a lot? I'm saying if you have two players of similar overall value, you take the one who fits your system. That's a no-brainer. I don't know why anyone would argue with that. I'll repeat what I've said many times. I think McCaffrey will be Rookie of the Year. But, without reading the minds of Tom Coughlin and Doug Marrone, I think Fournette fits what the Jaguars want to do more than McCaffrey does.
Quote:Play wise my man. I don't know how you can back up that claim. Game tape says they both have plenty of speed, so the only way to determine who is faster is to time them. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Hands down. But ya want to ignore the obvious with no proof. Cook caught a deep pass in a bowl game against one of the best Michigan. Did mccafery? Nope. Did fournette? Nope he couldnt play his. Ya wanna debate lets go.

When I think back to the '98 draft, TC wanted they physical 6'0, 250 lb Curtis Enis, but he ended up having to settle for the flashy Fred Taylor. Enis went #5 overall, but he was out of the league a few years later.
