(This post was last modified: 03-30-2017, 09:23 AM by Jagwired.)

Scumbag followed them into the place of business to continue his harassment of them. Scumbags reason he told the police why he hit her was because it felt like a man hit him.(real tough guy there for you) Scumbag must be some kind of weak [BAD WORD REMOVED] to think that felt like a man hitting him.

I'm sure there are teams looking for a man with that level of toughness. .Buuuuwwwwaaaaa. " Hey coach, sorry I fumbled, but it felt like a man tackled me." What a piece of [BAD WORD REMOVED] this guy is.

Inside Joe Mixon's brain...

Did I just feel a man hit me? Better deck this woman in the face...

I'm telling you guys right now, this guy is going to have people intentionally trying to hurt him. Idk if that means anything or not, but I'd hate to be Joe Mixon at the bottom of a dog pile.

It really is. I one point I was considering drafting him, but that was before the I fully realized what he actually did. I thought it was just a domestic dispute type thing dude hits a girl. But when I actually saw the video? Oh my. We're talking about a football player... a RB that gets hit on the field all the time. He can take a hit, and yet when this little girl takes a girly swat at him, he feels that gives him the right to straight punch her out with so much force that it cracks her skull in several places. I'm surprised he never served any jail time.

If I ever see anyone harm a lady for simply pushing someone, or standing up for herself/whoever.

They will have a very bad day.

There's a reason why rapists, women beaters, and child molesters are [BLEEP] with so much in prison. Those people are scum, and other's know that.

Nice to know what side everyone is on.

My problem with it all, the kid thinks he did nothing wrong and my generation, and this next generation thinks they can do whatever the hell the want, Desensitizing all of us, you can thank incidents like this to show you our [BAD WORD REMOVED] up society and how it is.

1. He smashes a girls face in.

2. He nearly runs into an officer on purpose.

If any of these two incidents happened to us, any one of us on this board we would be in jail for 10-20 years. Athletes are just people, and they are the ones getting your so called "preferential treatment"...dissapointing because we usually agree on topics.

Athletes get preferential treatment, yes, but that's beside the point here.

If you or I got into a bar fight we wouldn't be excluded from future employment. If 2 women got in a bar fight the same thing. If a women assaults a man she doesn't either. But for that one other situation? Permanent stain, and that's garbage.

That's because normal people are taught from a young age that men hitting women is an absolute no-no. It SHOULD be a permanent stain, what Joe Mixon did. Any man that is ever weak enough to hit a woman like that SHOULD be permanently labeled. They should actually be branded and jailed in my eyes.

But no, lets let this kid play football and earn millions of dollars and stardom like Tyreek Hill. That'll teach those young guys not to hit women. The NFL is really screwed up on this one, to no surprise.

Such a paternalistic and bigoted view has no place in an egalitarian society. Women and men are equals now, we should stop acting like they aren't.

So if I go up to John Henderson in a bar and punch him...he's obligated to walk away from me and you would never hire him for a job if he punches me back?

I'm not saying nothing should've happened to, in this case, Mixon, I'm saying that the consequences should be no worse than they would be for a woman who did the same thing.

Well when one little panda punches another little panda in the face that makes me a sad panda regardless of gender (except in ufc or dante fowler sanctioned [BLEEP] fights)

Men shouldnt fight either and when it happens you face consequences but we socially sanitise it when two men fight with boys will be boys.

You can argue that she initiated confrontation by pushing him i think?. You can respond to defend yourself with reasonable force.

The fact that he responded to a push or strike from a girl half his size with enough force to shatter her face in 8 places suggests some serious clouding of judgement.

To your example if i punched john henderson in a bar id expect him to respond with reasonable force. If he shattered my face in 8 places id have similar reservations about his judgement and about how he would react to confrontation if i employed him.

No one is entitled to play football for a living or play in the NFL.  This equivalency being made to the normal working world is ridiculous.  You can be the smartest financial guy around, but being in such a highly regulated industry like finance you could find yourself being unhirable for having certain things on your record.  If an owner feels like his team or the owners collectively feel like the league is going to take a significant financial hit for employing him, they have every right and responsibility to everyone else in the league not to employ him.

I'm not saying Joe Mixon should be banned from playing in the NFL, but I wouldn't lose any sleep over it if he was and I would completely understand why he was.  And I can assure you that the Jags aren't going to take him in the 2nd round and probably wouldn't later in the draft either.

So why aren't women playing NFL football? ...or for that matter boxing?

His force wasn't proportionate so it fails the "egalitarian" criteria.

That's like your wife walking past me and stepping on my gators and I retaliate by shoving my boot up her [BLEEP] to show her insides some style.

What, KY doesn't believe in branding so you don't either? I was being facetious, but since everyone already knows you love grasping at straws and derailing threads with your ridiculous arguments around here, I'll try and get us back on track.

That chick probably has a permanent fixture on her face from the surgery from that punch. If people can be so bold as to suggest Joe Mixon served acceptable punishment and is now OK to be drafted and eventually serve as a role model to kids, then I don't feel too particularly bad in feeling like guys that break women's faces for any reason, other than maybe getting shot at or robbed or something along those lines, should be punished to the extreme.

And flsports, no need to look up fancy words up in your dictionary before calling me a bigot again. I get it.
