With the news coming out of Dallas that Romo intends to retire, I guess Houston can hope Cleveland releases Osweiller.

I think the problem here is through all the circus, people forget the guy was undrafted. HOF'er? No way, Mediocre? Not at all. If mediocre is giving your team a legit chance of making the playoffs every year, then I want a mediocre QB.

I think he was a good quarterback. But there are probably a dozen quarterbacks in his own era you would take over Romo.

Well yeah, but looking at this through the lens of a Jaguar fan, I'd take him over any QB we have ever had after Mark B.

The knock on Romo for many of his seasons was that he couldn't get it done late in seasons and choked in big games when a lot was on the line.


People forget that his "December record/futility" was talked about continuously for a lot of years.


Remember the week 17 game Cowboys vs Redskins that was for the NFCE Title and a trip to the playoffs (2013 IIRC; maybe 2012)?


Romo throws a RIDICULOUS INT in the flat deep in his own territory, late in the 4th, with the game on the line. Redskins won, and RGIII plays the next week in the playoffs.
