Josh Dobbs

I kind of like Dobbs potential and was hoping the Jags might take a flyer on him in the 5th or later.  I'm starting to hear more chatter about him rising, possibly even round 2/3.  Anyone else think he might be a possibilty?  If so, what round would be a good value?  Some thoughts:

If I recall correclty, TC drafted David Garrard in the 4th round, similar style quarterback.

Marrone's first year in Buffalo they drafted EJ Manuel.  Marrone said during his rookie year he was the best rookie he had ever coached (lipservice?).  Was Manuel forced on Marrone by the Buffalo FO?  EJ Manuel is a similar style QB.

I think Dobbs would be a good prospect for this team as we all know Bortles will start atleast this year.  Dobbs can sit and develop.  He has great physical tools and the desire to develop on the mental side of the game.

As a QB he isn't worth drafting. As a receiver? I'd take him as early as the 3rd round. He is fast enough. He makes things happen with the ball in his hands. He's strong and athletic. But it depends on whether he is willing to change positions.

The E.J. Manuel cut up you had there was comical at best. It's well documented that E.J. was forced on Marrone. Dobbs in the 2nd/3rd, yeah no. 22nd pick of the 7th round would be flyer material.

I could see Dobbs in rounds six or seven if we get to that point and still don't have a QB, although I'd rather have Jerod Evans in round five.

Ideally I'd love to see them get Nathan Peterman in round three, but I just don't see him dropping quite that far. He might if the Bills pass on him in the second round, but the only chance I see that happening is if the Bills get Trubisky or Mahomes in round one.
