No troll here. Fournette has one cut and go ability, never said he could cut like Fred, I said that was a good NFL comp, TC agrees. Many on this board have never watched Fournette in college and simply hate on the Jags to be "edgy". They were never for the idea of drafting a RB, even cough that's the position at translates most easily to the NFL and is statistically most likely to dramatically improve your team from one year to the next. You see, they wanted the team to reach and take Watson, who at this point is no better than Bortles and continue to repeat the past mistakes. Talk about mental illness.

It's not sensitivity. It's that I have eyeballs in my face that actually function. 

 

Fred's lateral agility and ability to make defenders miss at the line of scrimmage was literally on a different planet than Fournette's very questionable ability in that area.  They are so starkly in contrast to one another in that way - you'd have to be a fool not to see it. 

 

Fournette is fast. He's strong. He's a talented football player and I like that he's a Jaguar even though I'd have chosen differently. 

He's an elite prospect -- but he cannot do many of the things that Fred did to make defenders miss.  He just can't.

You're going to be pulling out the credit card for a Fournette jersey a month into the season and then I will be here to serve you delicious crow.

In light of his talent how many yards do you expect him to contribute this season? Rushing and receiving

It depends on a number of other factors, but if the blocking is marginally better with Albert and Robinson in the mix,  then I could see Fournette rushing for 1100 yards or so with 10 TDs in his rookie season. 

 

That would make me happy. Especially if there is some decent contribution from a spell-back and a third down back. 

 

If the line is much better instead of marginally better -  and one of the FBs excels with opening lanes  -- then I could see Fournette doing even better than those numbers.
