I'm thinking Manziel is going to our pick @ 3

#21

We have to have the absolute worst position in the draft.

1) Out of reach of the consensus number 1 pick

2) A team loaded with picks and sitting at a 2 that is probably thinking of another trade down.....

3) Like 4 teams behind us that need a QB and may try to trade up to get Manziel who I think is the next best thing after Teddy.

Whoever did that photoshop is a pro.

Johnny is as big of a boom/bust prospect as you can get. If Dave things he's worth the risk im all for it. He would fit so well in Jedds system.

Teddy, Clowney and Manziel are all potential franchise type guys and the Jags sit at 3. The will get one of them if they want

We are in peril of being punked big time. Expect Caldwell to feign interest in Clowney (if he wants one of the quarterbacks with the 1st pick). Or feign interest in trading down. A team like Cleveland might think that their quarterback may fall to them with out giving up the farm to St. Louis. Lower teams may think we may want to trade down when we finally get on the clock. Then we pick our guy. This is all speculation but the deception may have already begun with Caldwell saying that Gabbert is still under contract.....and the praising of Henne.

An undersized QB, that wears maroon and white, pulls off ridiculous plays that leaving the audience in awe but his slight build and questionable character makes folk weary?

And I still think Vick was a better prospect.

Or the Raiders. Four of the top five teams need a quarterback.

Actually the worst pick in the first round belongs to Minnesota because the Vikings have to hope at least three teams don't pick a quarterback.

Vick never had Manziels accuracy. If Manziel is like Vick, but more accurate, we should take him all day long. And Manzel's character issues are not from his background, like Vicks were. I really doubt Manziel's friends are anything like Vick's 'friends' were.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

He's all the hype of a Tim Tebow, but with the ability to throw the ball.

He should wear #12 in the pro's. #2 looks stupid, like he's a Punter or Kicker or something.

Remember when Khan was asked about Tebow?  He said he would have been FOR drafting a guy like him....

Now he'll probably have his chance.

Lucky for us, Manziel is 100x the better prospect than Tebow ever was as QB.

yeah, but wasn't part of Khan's Tebow love the fact that he was also from Jacksonville, so the local connection thing?

Vick was arguably the greatest "prospect" of all time.

I really hope so. Would finally breath some life into this franchise, and unlike Tebow, he can quarterback. Nearly every all time great that talks about Manziel gives him their mark of approval (while they all pretty much said Tebow couldn't play); Steve Young, Fran Tarkenton, Drew Brees, etc. He has the ability and the natural instincts in spades, all he has to do is tone back some of those wild plays and fix some minor mechanic issues, and stay in the pocket just a bit more. But he has all the intangibles and measurables and skills to be a great QB in the NFL.

well, the local connection doesn't matter - it's what the local connection could have brought.

Excitement, ticket and jersey sales, NFL talking about us, etc.

No other play besides Manziel would have that same effect IMO.
