Quote:Checkout this one run... That 2nd video was the best breakdown of Fournette I've seen yet. The difference between the gap and zone schemes was very interesting. The best thing we can do to maximize Fournette is to not make him think too much. It's clear that we're going to do that after drafting Williams (FB). If the offensive line and FB and create an inch for him, good things are going to happen. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:Derrick Henry in college: I'm not sure that Fournette is the elite prospect he was drafted to be, but I know why Henry fell to the back half of the second round, and it wasn't because of size vs speed or college production, it was because he was thought of as having slow feet and change of direction. He was given a great chance by the team around him in college to succeed, but so far in the NFL behind one of the best lines in the NFL he's been good but hasn't shown himself to be elite or anything. The Jaguars shut him down in their December meeting. These youtube clips never show any of a players bad film, so I take them with a grain of salt. Also, I hate the music. That said, yeah, impressive. And I'm feeling a lot better about the Seahawks selection of Ethan Pocic because there was some big holes on that tape. How much of it was from this past year, because I know La'el Collins was a big factor too.
Just in case anyone missed it- http://www.jaguars.com/media-gallery/vid...65ac1fe44c
http://www.jaguars.com/media-gallery/vid...16c1c8524a I'm still stoked about this pick. And getting more excited as the season approaches. Surprised there isn't more clamor over this pick.
Now lemme think... :geek: What should my avatar....

Quote:Drinking the teal koolaid I see. Media and reality is two different things. Fournette is not a better prospect then Gurley period. That is beyond ridiculous Only reason drafted higher cause of his physical attributes. . Lmao.. fournette is EASILY a better prospect coming out than gurley, always has been always was.. thats not even debateable hes the highest rated rb since AP in high school and college

Well, the "highlight reels" on Youtube sure won't, but if you search for the player vs his various opponents, they'll show you every snap in the game so you get the whole picture as in the good with the bad. For instance, this is his game vs Ole Miss...
https://youtu.be/BOw_cf0wlcE
Notice how he's stuffed for losses on his first two attempts.

Quote:God I hope he lives up to his hype and becomes AP 2.0.That's the best part of that jaguars live interview with J.P., in my opinion. Fournette was asked about being ready for the hype and his response... And the way he responded. It was inspiring

Those first two runs to the left set up the big one to the right. This is classic Pete Carroll/Marshawn Lynch. Ed Ogeron learned it from him while working as one of his assistant coaches at USC. He also worked as his recruiter, believe it or not.

He can catch just fine. People just act like he's a north and south runner and that's it.
He can juke, catch the ball with 1 hand and do everything a RB is supposed to do. And yes...he can run out of the shot gun too. People are just delusional.
Quote:He can catch just fine. People just act like he's a north and south runner and that's it. Oh I know. Was being facetious.

LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

What do you think is the more likely scenario? The Browns, Niners, and Chicago regretting that they passed on Fournette .......or we regret passing on one of the QBs in the first round?
Quote:What do you think is the more likely scenario? The Browns, Niners, and Chicago regretting that they passed on Fournette .......or we regret passing on one of the QBs in the first round? The browns and niners aren't likely to regret those decisions. The bears might. If the Jags regret not signing a player in the first it will more likely be Adams or McCaffrey than one of the QBs IMO. I think Fournette will work out OK though. ![]() Quote:What do you think is the more likely scenario? I don't know, but I do think the Texans will regret drafting Watson.
