It seems to me there were 3 or 4 games last year that were lost due to a couple of brain farts in each of those games. If the team can play smarter (which should better balance the turnover margin) that alone could make a difference in the win total. My feeling is that playing smart comes down from the coaching so I believe awareness and the mental aspect of the game will be improved this season.

Agreed. Hell he could even get another starting job somewhere like Cleveland or SF. He'll easily end up a backup in the scenario he doesn't work out here.
