DC sniper Lee Boyd Malvo's life sentence thrown out
 

A federal district court judge has overturned the sentence of Lee Boyd Malvo, one of the two people convicted in D.C.-area Beltway sniper attacks nearly 15 years ago, according to a ruling released Friday.

If you had been keeping up you'd know the Supreme Court has ruled that you can't just lock up juveniles and throw away the key. This action was to be expected. He'll be re-sentenced and he's not getting out anytime soon. If ever.

This is a travesty of Justice. He was spared the Death Penalty because of his age (Thank God John Allen Muhammad wasn't)

It's all part of the appeals process.

 

Basically it went to this judge, who looked at Supreme Court precedent and saiid "You have to take this into consideration when issuing sentencing."


VA's Attorney General is probably going to appeal the ruling, but even if not--he'll probably wind up with life sentences again.
