Parnell played college basketball, so he's the definition of an "elite athlete" at the RT position, you can see it in his movement skills. He's also powerful enough to blow defenders off the LOS, rare combination of athleticism and power, Dallas has done a good job of refining his technique, it's no wonder the Jaguars liked him better than Bulaga, Parnell's upside is through the roof because he's a rare athlete, similar to Lane Johnson.

Quote:So money for Cobb is going to Murray...

Not really. For a long time posters were saying they want both Cobb and Murray.

There was an article or tweet saying that McCourty was ready to leave (presumably our offer), but he took the offer back to NE, they upped their offer, and he stayed.

I'm not going to search it for you, but feel free to do so.

I'm not gonna copy/paste all these quotes/tweets from the presser, way too many haha.

Most pertinent thing is he said not much action going anymore with Murray, or anyone else for that matter.

I read he wanted the franchise tag.

It's been reported over and over that he had decided to leave and changed his mind.

Quote:This is how close it came to safety Devin McCourty not returning to the New England Patriots: As the negotiating process was winding down Sunday, McCourty and head coach Bill Belichick had a phone conversation in which McCourty thanked him for a great five years with the franchise.

Unfortunately, McCourty told him, it looked like he was ready to move on. The Eagles, Giants and Jaguars were the teams making the strongest push, with the Titans also in the mix, and there was a deal with another team that McCourty was ready to accept.

It was at that point that Belichick and the Patriots stepped up to levels they hadn't reached in the process. Their final offer of five years and $47.5 million, with $28.5 million in total guarantees (a record number of guarantees for a safety), swayed McCourty's decision at the last moment.

Dave had 5 targets get 3, missed on 2

So McCourty and Cobb I  assume we missed on

I hope that is what he said. Doesn't seem like he wants to be here.

Seems like we aren't getting Murray based on what Dave said.

So we would have him if he had not called Bill Belichick.  Wallbash

I guess the bright side in all this is that the final offer from the Pats ended up costing them Revis and now potentially Browner.

Per Dave: Haven't really looked into Hardy.. We have to do more research. Well, scratch him off lol

So would you rather have McCourty or Skuta, Brown, House?

Not really, he just said we didnt spend as much as he thought, since we missed on Cobb and McCourty, so Hardy is in play, he wont get signed real fast anyways

I don't care about Revis going back to the Jets. There is no bright side when you miss out on the only good free safety available.

McCourty, but we'll have to see.

I really do think House is going to be pretty damn good here. Just have that gut feeling. He played really well in GB but struggled with injuries from the sounds of it, and if they think he's ascending and a better fit here, he's just going to get better.

I just dont know enough about Skuta or Brown. Dave sounds like he just said they'll ideally be starters, and if they play average or above average, than I'm not sure that's quite as easy of a question. I feel like it's much easier to get one of the 3 players we got versus an elite FS though...
