Quote:@rapsheet The #Jaguars met with interim coach Doug Marrone all day and late into the night on Thursday, source said. Sounds like it went well.

Yes, its my opinion and it stated it as such.

Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.

Quote:You would be naive to think anybody who interviews here wouldnt be put off by working with a GM who only has 1 year left and hasn't even been given or considered an extension.

Think about that.
You would be naive to think that people would come interview for a job they don't want.

Marrone is a head scratcher if you choose him then why not fire gus sooner for more tryout games? And if its Marrone he's probably keeping Hackett.

But hopefully this changes when they interview others hell I'd take Mike Smith over Marrone. Marrone is the worst choice we have.
No Fun

Because this front office has no clue.

Yeah if they do hire him they're going to look like idiots to everyone.
No Fun

.

Look at the positive, we got a lottery draft pick by keeping Gus!!

It would be more of the same. They would keep Wash and probably Hackett as well. Bortles pushing for Hackett. We need a clean slate

And what if they Hire Shannahn? Or Mike Smith with McCoy?

Will they still have no clue or will you finally give someone credit?

Everyone?  Not from what I'm seeing in this thread.  Plus another coach with Super Bowl experience supposedly recommended Marrone.

You, of all people, have absolutely no clue what's going to happen.

I hope they hire Marrone just to see Bklyn's meltdown.

I'm 50/50.

I definitely want to see the meltdown but I also don't want Marrone. I want it to be exactly what Brooklyn wants so that he can actually give someone credit for once and stop whining.

I've said before, my only concern with hiring Marrone is the possibility of keeping the defensive staff in place.

If he gets a new DC, I'd be perfectly fine with it.
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS
