RN's can be real divas..

Woman still get perms? I didn’t know it was a thing anymore.

Those are still a thing? The last time I hated my hair I shaved it off G.I. Jane style with a #2 guard. It was 2002 and I was (thankfully) living in Germany where a girl with a shaved down head didn't look too out of place. It was pretty liberating. I guess that's not an option for your wife.

I have naturally way/curly hair and back in the 80s I asked my mom to give me a spiral perm. I was a kid. What did I know? Talk about Big Hair. I could lay off the AquaNet for volume for a few months. Lol. I still used some to keep the hair somewhat contained but that was it. It was quite a sight to see a pale white German/Irish kid with such volume. Lol.

My mom was cheap. She did them at home. Her and my sister have straight hair and were heavily invested in home perms and AquaNet. Maybe all those chemicals in the house is why I've never had a sense of smell.

My Roku stick in the bedroom stopped working.  Do these things 'go bad'?  Or do I  just have bad luck?  That was one part I didn't look into when I cut the cord.

Yeah my wife has straight hair.. I tried to talk her out of it.. But what do I know? At least she didn't get charged for it..

Plus I think she learned a lesson from it, so that's a win..

Never had the stick but our first box went on the fritz after a year or so. We got it at Best Buy and had their 2 year warranty on it (because things aren't built to last anymore and we have craptastic luck) so we took it back and got another one for zero out of pocket. The higher end model, I think. This one has done just fine for about 3 years now.

I don’t want this to go too far, otherwise it’ll be “political”.

I had one of our new clients come out after we serviced the lawn. Great, let’s build a rapport. She says “it’s a great day today isn’t it?” It was freaking cold this morning, but at the time maybe 63. I still had a hoodie on as did an employee that was 3 ft from me. I reply “yeah, it turned out to be alright”. She comes back with “ Great day for an inauguration”. Lmao. Me and the employee stuck in that moment of “what the heck do we say” since I know neither him nor I agreed, didn’t say anything. It must’ve been pre-meditated because after our pause she said syke. After thinking about the estimate and the fact she’s white with a black kid I should’ve known. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But my [BLEEP], says “Oh, you had me going there for a moment”.

We’re still on for a landscaping job. So I suppose I didn’t screw it up. I swear this job makes me dumb.

The way that I look at it, any day that I'm above ground and not 6 feet under is a great day.  Working on the homestead this past weekend in cold temperatures didn't really bother me (and I hate to be cold).  Of course the giant brush fire that I had going probably had a little bit to do with that.  Got rid of several oak stumps and several tree tops from trees that we cut down.  Round 2 in a couple of days.

So, which drawer in the bedroom is the Roku stick kept in?

Come on! How could I pass that up??

I chose not to go there because he referred to it as his, rather than his wife's.  This opens up a whole new line of questioning........

Sheesh.  That’s chump change.  Unless I don’t win Fridays 970m Mega Millions.  In that case, I could use a friend too.

My keen diagnostic skills uncovered the problem.

It was unplugged.
