Standing out early in OTAs

I fully expect Bortles to be more accurate and consistent this year. The reason being is he is not a self-motivator like many of the more accomplished QBs. Bortles needs constant constructive feedback from someone he respects. Of course I don't know this for a fact but I believe Gus's hug-it-out style irked him. We saw the immediate changes in the final two games when a man in charge was the coach.
I also agree with mvannostran's assessment that BB performs better out of the pocket. He can think on the run. That's a quality which will round out a well-established running and passing offense. At least this is what my quilting circle believes. |
