Holman was also at the rookie minicamp, and back then Marrone said one of the qbs will be brought back for training camp. I'm thinking he'll stick around for camp along with the ST specialists. The other players who also attended the rookie minicamp are Atkins, Broyld, Mortell and Weiler.

Lamar Atkins certainly has no real shot with the other FBs on the roster, but he's worth a look. At 5' 10 5/8", 236 lbs, he was athletic enough that Louisville moved him from FB to MLB. At his pro day he ran a 4.8 with a 31 1/2" vert and did 21 reps.

Broyld is a player that Marrone already knows from his days at Syracuse...

I think it's more about needing additional players for camp. Marrone has already talked glowingly about the current specialists.

Scantling was quite the star WR at Jacksonville's Epispocal High School. He went on to play Track and Field at Georgia where he excelled at an "Olympic level." He was recently and briefly on the Falcons roster.
