In a few years Carr's contract will look like peanuts compared to other guys coming up to get paid behind him. With Brady, Brees and Rivers headed out the exit. You'll see Ryan and Rodgers commanding top dollar now like Carr has. Soon you're going to see heavy pushes for this kind of money coming from Cousins' and Stafford's corners too.

Not a knock against Carr or anything. But one great year with it ending in injury doesn't justify this deal. But it needed to be done. The Raiders have suffered long enough. I will be watching to see if Carr can replicate or surpass last year's performance though. He needs to get into the play-offs and a win a game or two now in my eyes.
