I understood that much. What I don't understand is why someone would suggest I'm someone that would attempt to minimize Caldwell's accomplishments.

Because the majority of this board still has to put labels on who they believe picked who and they love to use it whenever it fits their opinion. 

"Oh I didn't like the pick from the beginning, he definitely must be a Caldwell pick."

"Man I love that pick, what a great pick. Coughlin really is putting this team together." etc etc etc

Not saying you said those things above, but that's what we've seen far too much and sadly will continue to see from people.
