There are good arguments to be made both for and against Caldwell. However, his future here likely hinges on Bortles' play this season. If Bortles pans out, Caldwell has probably done enough other good things with the roster to be retained. If Bortles continues handing games away and it's clear we're playing for draft position in 2018 then I think Caldwell will be shown the door at season's end. If we're drafting in the top 10 again next year I can't imagine how Caldwell would still be here unless we were to acquire someone else's top 10 pick through trade.
