I'm not sold on the whole "Dave Caldwell job in jeopardy" thing.  Yes he's made some picks that didn't pan out (including the Head Coach hire), but he's also done a decent job of rebuilding the roster.

We can look at draft picks in hindsight all we want, but no General Manager has been "perfect", especially with first round picks.

Also, the idea that he was "demoted" with the hire of Tom Coughlin is very much wrong.  While Coughlin might have the final say regarding football operations, I don't see him as a "micro-manager" and he certainly doesn't "do Dave Caldwell's job" as many people seem to think just like he doesn't "do Doug Marone's job".

In the end, just take a look at his additions to the team vs. his subtractions to draw a conclusion.  That not only includes draft picks, but also free agency.  The bottom line is that he's done a pretty good job.
