Welllll...
Here's the thing... I don't care who serves in the military, that is their choice and not their right. DC can dress this up however they want, but it's about money and also just reversing what Obama had done on his way out the door.
Remember Daniel Manning, now Chelsea Manning. Sex change operation on tax payers bill.
Not cool.
So I'm good with this move by the POTUS. We the tax payers shouldn't foot the bill for operations such as these, covered under Military insurance. We shouldn't have to cover the costs of hormonal treatment or whatever.
Also.. I chose NOT to enlist because I know what wars are actually fought for. And it isn't freedom.
Hint: Oil, gas pipelines, regime changes, world powers, money.....
No war since the civil war has really been remotely about about the freedom of the United States people and citizens...
And before anyone throws out the statistic that the military spends more on Viagra than sex changes... I don't think I should have to foot that bill either.
I'm against wasteful or unnecessary spending by the government in any and all forms.
Especially things like abortions (funding of planned parenthood) and sex changes.
The numbers of transgender people in the military varies depending on what source you want to believe.
Something between 6k and 15k, out of over 2 mil +
Small slice of the pie... if they want to "serve" so badly... McDonald's is probably hiring.

We shouldn't have to pay for that either.
Having a baby is a choice. Not really some right that tax payers should foot the bill for.
I only agree with feeding and housing the military on tax payers dimes. (And actual pay)
And not because they are fighting "terrorism" the unwinnable war in the middle east, but because some day we may actually need these guys to fight off the Russians, N Koreans, or Chinese if/when they actually start a war with us that actually effects our homeland.
The reason we take the fight to them over yonder in their neck of the woods, is so they don't have a chance to come over here to our back yard and attack us like Pearl Harbor

So there are 6 thousand service members right now wearing a uniform and formally identified on their ID cards and in their service records as the opposite gender in which they were born? I don't believe it.
In my 5 years in the Navy I only ran across one gay man and ZERO transgenders... BUT, that was also about 30 years ago and that could be why
