I don't see him as an Alualu type at all. Aluala was much bigger and was a former DT. Smoot is like 6'3" 264 lbs. which is pretty average for a DE. Personally, I like UDFA Hunter Dimick a lot more than Smoot.

Feeney is a guard made for zone blocking and we are going with more of a power scheme.  We should of drafted Pat Elflein though, the best center in the draft and moved Linder back to RG

Feeney played very well at OT for the Hoosiers his last year in college. His versatility to play OT or OG would've been a lot more valuable than Smoot, who might not even make the team.
