If having a good QB was all it took, then why haven't guys like Phillip Rivers, Andy Dalton, Alex Smith, Matt Stafford, or Carson Palmer even gotten to a super bowl? Simply having a good QB isn't going to cut it. Look at the coaches of every super bowl winner - all of them are considered elite coaches that any franchise would die to have someone like them lead their players to the promised land.

My point: Having a good coach is just as important, if not more, as having a good QB. A poorly coached team, even with good talent, likely won't even sniff the playoffs, let alone the super bowl.

Did I say anything about that QB was the only recipe? I am saying regardless of how your team/coach is you need a good QB to win a superbowl! The last chance it has happen was 03', and I said i'd buy an argument for 06'. Quarterback is not the reason you lose games, but you damn well need atleast a good one to win that ring. The question is, is Blake good enough to win you a superbowl? Thats literally it. It's not about 7-9, 8-8, or oh hey a playoff appearance. It's rings man, and teams need a good QB to win one ALONG with a good team and coach around him. I think most of the fan base doesn't believe Blake can be that guy to win a ring. That's where the hate stems.
