The system is broken.
I don't have a solution. But, if you force everyone to buy something they may not use in order to make sure that those that need it have it... Well, e already had systems such as those in place, the change being that you were now charging those who could not afford it to begin with too have it... Even if they still couldn't afford it. I have been uninsured for 14 years. I have had a few times I needed coverage, but couldn't afford it since I am forced to help provide to people that refuse to work to pay for their own. I worked it out with the health care providers and paid them as I could. Boards of directors of insurance companies are littered with political back scratchers. It's not your government making money off of your requirement to have insurance, it's your government representatives.
