There are many rumors, rumors which I then asked friends who knew of him in his time at UCF who confirmed the rumors of him being a massive drinker..

Let's not act like Blake is picture perfect.  Maybe he has changed, we can all hope, but you guys blindly defended Gene just like you are now with Blake.

But, in 3 years if Blake is out of the league, it will be you same guys who will bash him at every turn as if you were in on it the whole time

If Blake flames out, he'll do it on his own.  What fans think about him is irrelevant.  But, feel free to keep digging for more rumors because that's really what's important.  A college student who liked to party.  That's a rarity.  They should string him up by his short hairs for that, right?

People do mature, and most outgrow that party boy mindset.  Let's just see how he does this year.  He clearly put an emphasis this off season on improving his craft, and most reports confirm that he has made significant effort and it's showing.  He's in better shape both physically and mentally, and he won't have to deal with Gus on the sideline telling him to just get better, or coordinators who put everything on his shoulders to carry the team.  It's a new day, and I think with the way they've gone about building the roster around him this year, the goal is to allow him to reach his full potential.  It's all on him at this point.
