For me he's always had the talent and ability. He's a good athlete for his position. He just seems to lack a lot of maturity and discipline on and off the field apparently. And that's my only knock on him at the moment.

We gave him a pass last year because he didn't play in 2015. 2016 wasn't great for him but it was his rookie year essentially. Hopefully this year he's able to hone some of his techniques and he's able to get home more in the backfield.

I don't want to see him fail. I don't want to see any of our players fail. Especially when they're former third overall selections. The idea that he needs to be cut though RIGHT NOW entering his third year with really only his second year of actual football at the age of twenty-two is pretty foolish though.

You can justify the reasoning behind Bortles in year four. But you can't justify the reasoning behind Fowler in year three given his overall playing time. People were quick to give up on Clowney and he ended up keeping that defense elite without Watt playing at all last year.

Not saying Fowler is Clowney. But there's at least hope that he can effect the game in a good way in 2017.
