This is one of those "He was still alive?" moments.
I remember when his telethons were big events because that was the only time a TV broadcast went all night (at least in rural Kansas). My brothers and I used to try to stay up all night and watch because it was such a novelty. I never made it. 3 A.M. pulls mighty heavily on a 10-year-old's eyelids. |
