This makes a lot of sense when you consider Brees was coached up by Marrone the only year they won a Superbowl. If they can't land Brees I would hope Cousins is fortunate enough to escape WAS's clutches in 2018. 

But I can get on board with this. Brees would put this team in the divisional winner conversation pretty quickly granted that the defense can build on it's efforts from 2016 and however 2017 plays out. Could then hopefully draft his successor like Fitzgerald, Falk, Allen or Litton later on.
