He has a windup like Blake, but that's about where their similarities end. As many have pointed out, Blake's inability to read defenses and throw with timing, anticipation, velocity, and accuracy is a bigger problem than the mechanics. Darnold appears to check all of those boxes at least, and his footwork is fine too.
