He suffered some inexcusable drops (I counted 4) but he was largely on target with the majority of his throws. 
The composure was evident in the pocket. It was night and day different from his composure in the bucs pre-season game. Throwing the ball away instead of forcing it to the RB on that swing pass was a nice sign of his composure and better decision making also. 

He wasn't perfect and he was mitigated by the game-plan but he performed more than adequately. 

Best case scenario is a QB that Cough-Well likes falls to us in the first or second round of the 2018 draft and that player gets to sit behind Blake for a year.  If Blake continues to improve and the kid develops, then you have a good problem on your hands. 

But, of course,  there are 15 games left for Blake to have a melt-down. I'll just be over here crossing my fingers and toes that it doesn't happen.

I agree about the QB thing. Time to stop wasting high picks taking chances on guys that aren't sure things. Follow the Raiders/cowboys/Seahawks/packers/Bengals/Redskins/Patriots examples and take guys when it makes sense whether that's the late first because of value or second or third or whatever round, build a team and get a good coach and if a QB is there you think presents value then take him. Stop setting the team back by reaching on guys that "need to develop."
