1. The amount of talent on those rosters is largely better than this roster. So much better that one (and possibly even two) years of drafting and FA won't clear that gap up.

2. Mike McCoy has a franchise level QB...give us Phillip Rivers and this team wins more games. Does it turn the whole world around...no it does not. This team would be better though.

3. Jay Cutler missed a few games. 5 I think. For the other 11 they had a QB that is far better than anything the Jaguars have to work with. On top of their more talented roster.

4. KC has Alex Smith (he's no Manning but he's clearly better than Chad Henne and Gabbert), Charles, Bowe, and loads of talent on the defensive side. I could have coached that team to 6-7 wins.

5. Arizona is the only team that's remotely comparable to the Jaguars situation. They still have the better QB and more talented roster.

Arizona went and got that QB. You can't make the excuse of Arizona having a better QB when the new regime went out and got said QB. Same with Kansas City.

The new Jags regime stuck with the status quo at the QB position. They in turn own the results.
