I think they use Lee and Hurns in 2 WR sets and kick Hurns inside and bring out Cole (or Benn depending on matchup) for 3 WR sets.
You put Cole at Z if you want to stretch the field, Benn at Z if you want possession control.

We'll have to be down on the scoreboard or failing in the run game to see 4WR sets most likely, but I'd guess Benn is your guy there until McCaffery is up to speed with the book.

That makes a ton of sense for the interim.

But, I stick to my premise that if Cole rounds out his game this year, he'll be the #1 by season's end.
