Have you actually watched and of Joe Montana's games? Alcohol looks more like a faster Doug Flutie to me, only a worse passer and with serious baggage that no team in its right mind would waste a first-round pick on.

 


I'm sure David Caldwell will plan his draft so that JaxxnateNH is happy with the results.

 

Personally, I think that Bridgewater is the only top-ten QB out there this year. Alcohol's career will mirror Doug Flutie's--including the stint in Canada--and that's if he keeps his nose clean. Bortles looks the part, but playing in a high-percentage passing attack that relies heavily on screens and slants inflated his numbers and, I think, makes him look far more "elite" than he'll actually be. Not to say he won't be a very good starter, but is a guy who has seemingly gone from mid-round guy to sure-thing first-rounder in the space of two months really a wise pick, or is he Blaike Gabbortles?

 


The only way Johnny Alcohol goes top two is if a GM hits the sauce too hard with him during combine interviews.

 


Rivers is (unfairly) the poster child for "just ok" arm strength because of his 2004 pre-draft buzz. His weird shoulder-level delivery was cited by almost every draftnik as a weakness in his game, and for some reason everyone associates that with a weak arm. David Carr had a weird delivery and a limp arm; maybe we should use him in that role from now on? Please? Rivers doesn't have a "cannon", but he's certainly got good arm strength, and his arm has looked better later in his career than it did in his first few seasons.
