1) Defense is arguably the best pass defense in football right now but it's also one of the easiest to run on in the entire NFL. Not good enough considering the the investment put into it.

2) After calling a near perfect game against the Ravens , Hackett's play calling against the jets was really off. Twice on 3rd down he called a pitch play to the running back to go outside. Both stuffed. You don't call those plays on 3rd down. Had 3 goal lines downs late in the game to win. 3 pass plays. One of which was a slant to Lewis instead of a jump ball. Guy had like a 7" advantage over his man.

3) Perfect example of why Bortles doesn't have the head to be a good NFL QB (or the skills). He was at his best against the Ravens, confident and relaxed. Early on he looked great but as soon as the Jets started blitzing and mixing up coverages he started missing and his head went way down. Once he goes bad like that it's been very difficult to get him back on target. Every pass is an adventure and there's just no consistency. What I will say is too his credit he got the ball where it needed to be for the W. Good pass to Lee to get in field goal range but he dropped it.

4) Positives I guess were the offensive line still looks good . 85% of Fournettes rush attempts have gone for positive yards. 86% of Ivories carries have gone for positive yards. Those numbers are better than almost every running backs stats. Shows that the line is keeping us on track. Only issue is getting some runs into the second level but I think that will come as LF gets more comfortable.

Defense made big plays when it mattered. Bouye with a crucial pick. Jack with a crucial TD. Yannick had 2 sacks as a strip. Fowler had a beautiful rush around and sack/fumble. If they had managed to get to that it would have been game over.


All in all, while that was a terrible loss, we are currently 1st in the division.
