When I got into football back in 1995 I was just seven years old. And when I played football with all of the other kids and in competitive settings I always preferred two things. 

1. Hitting the living hell out of everybody else as a linebacker or defensive end

2. Running over everybody else as a running back or fullback lead blocking 

I just have a love for throwback football. I don't care for the air raid offense. Or the run and shoot. Don't get me wrong. It's beautiful to see that type of strategy executed when they're playing old classic games from the 70's and 80's and 90's. But man I would have killed to have seen that 1970's Steel Curtain in person. Or that 85' Bears defense with Walter Payton running everywhere. I have a bigger appreciation for history when it comes to the NFL. QB's like Terry Bradshaw, Roger Staubach, Fran Tarkenton and Kenny Stabler get a lot of my respect for the era they had to play in.
