I think we're fine against the run.   We just had a bad game against the Jets, where guys got out of their gaps and allowed some long runs that skewed the stats.   I attribute that to the fact that we were playing on the road just a week after playing in London.  But against the Steelers, we fixed the problem and held the Steelers to just 70 yards.

I agree, the stats that made it look like we had a terrible run D were somewhat inflated by garbage time numbers (for example the Ravens put up over 100 yards rushing on us but we completely stuffed them when the game was close) and then the disaster against the Jets which highlighted a few problems but also was somewhat freaky in how it came about. 

Basically, this D is looking similar to Denver's D (high praise indeed): a lockdown secondary and a fierce pass rush that combined can stifle opponents. The best way to attack a fierce pass rush has always been to run right at it, I expect a lot of teams to start doing just that. This week against Gurley and the Rams will certainly put our Run D to the test.
