You guys are talking past the issue. It doesn't matter if it's disrespectful or not. The point is that we all pay for a product. If you don't like any part of the product, you can stop buying it. So, if a certain number of people don't like how something is being presented and choose not to watch, it's their prerogative.
We can all agree that if the owners allow the players to kneel, it's their right to do so. However, I have yet to hear a compelling reason why it's wrong for a person to avoid buying a product if they don't like the way it's presented. Nobody has an obligation to support the NFL. |
