Outside of those two long runs this year, Fournette has been a sub 4 ypc running back. He isn't a guy who's strengths translate as well in the NFL (power and speed). Couple that with the injury history with the ankles, it was a risky pick. I compare him to Eddie George with more speed, a solid work horse back but not consistently explosive. He was over drafted in 2017 wouldn't have been in 1997, the league is just better suited for guys like Kamara/Elliot/Bell with wiggle. The expectations were just way too high for him, not his fault, so trying to lay this game on him is ridiculous. He is what he is, a guy that goes for 4-4.5 ypc on 30 carries in a good game but it's hard to expect him to turn nothing into some thing on a consistent basis, or rips long runs outside of when he catches a safety out of position.
