Good God!  The team is on the cusp of a winning season and poised to make a playoff appearance and so many "fans" want to run players off.  While the QB isn't the greatest, the TEAM still has an 8-4 record and knocking on the door for a Divisional Championship.  Let that sink in for a bit.

My guess is the team signs him to a contract that keeps him here for another 3 years or so and possibly drafts his "heir apparent" either in this coming off-season or the next.

I personally would be shocked if the team lets him walk in free agency.  That would be the dumbest move ever and I just don't see it happening.

My head won't explode. I expect it to happen, look at some of the bottom tier trash  level QBs that has gotten over 17 million the last couple seasons in FA, it doesn't work. It doesn't make it a good move either, just because they get that money. If you have to sign a FA QB, go get a vet that has had some success and pay less, or a lights out guy like Brees(when NO signed him) or Cousins. 

 I simply laugh at the moves for low end Qbs, because those team have les $ to sign quality players.  It would make more sense to try to develop your own guy than go out and sign/pay a bad FA QB like Osweiler, Glennon, or Tyrod Taylor, or Bortles 70+ million over 4 years. I am saying, you shouldn't want your favorite team to make these moves. Bad teams tend to do this, well ran teams with a tradition of winning pick the right QB. SEE: Green Bay(2x HoF in a row), NYG(Eli is a HoFer), Pittsburgh(Ben might be too), Seattle(Wilson is my Mvp this year), New England(Brady, Bledsoe), Rams, Eagles, Falcons, Colts(Luck/Manning, rest of team is trash lol), Raiders, Chargers, Panthers, Redskins, Cowboys, Lions. They all drafted their guys. The only time I see you picking up a QB in FA is if you need a vet cheap to be a stop gap, or you go for the fences. Signing a guy like Bortles to a 4 year 70 million deal, is a bad move on so many levels.
