If they flexed it due to the playoffs, why are there so few markets covering it?  Seems like if it were for ratings reasons, the coverage would be more even.

Many people think that this was a setup for the Seahawks to win.  I don't know if that's necessarily true, but it's no reason to call someone ignorant.

Because of the Eagles/Rams game, of course. Most TV markets want to show that game because it has much higher stakes. In fact the Eagles can finally clinch the division title with a win. Both teams are candidates for a first round bye and the Rams also risk being relegated to a wild card slot.

The idea that it is not related to the playoffs only makes sense if the game was originally scheduled for 4:25. The only reason the NFL decided to start flexing games late in the season is to draw higher ratings by showing real playoff contenders, which this year include the Jaguars and Seahawks, when more people are able to watch the games. It is also why some NFC games are flipped to CBS and some AFC games are flipped to Fox. The fact that our game will not be shown in many TV markets outside the Pacific Northwest and northern/central Florida does not mean it has nothing to do with the playoffs.
